Hey is CodeSpells solely for directx11 or will there be compatability for the cheaper graphics cards as well?

  2. Hi, I’d love to have this at our kids’ school. When do you anticipate the classroom version being available, and at what (approximate) cost? Also, is there any specific equipment/software/platform etc. needed to play? Thanks.

    • No classroom version yet! We are interested in a making a pared-down, browser-based version for educators… There’s currently no ETA on that though! Since it doesn’t exist yet, I can’t suggest specific hardware requirements. Currently the only version available is the Steam Early Access version for $20 each. This version is only playable on a PC (no tablet version yet).

Hey! I got codespells alpha for Christmas and I thought i would tell you about a couple glitches I found 1 if you use a raise sand spell strait down and you ride the sand up, you will get stuck in the air and be able walk around the sky.2 there is a tomato (the red things ,pronounced To-ma-to, soft a) on the island full of them that when it goes to a certain point on the island, it starts floating and twitching as if possessed by a poltergeist and it’s super annoying.3 the f key witch should be cast a spell along with a mana consumption graph does nothing. I also have some suggestions for the game. 1 you should make at least a mode that makes some code blocks easier to read like lock to player rotation would become fallow the players pointer. And speaking of the pointer can you pleas make it darker? There have been multiple instances were I had trouble aming at a floating rock because the pointer blended in perfectly with the cloud background. Plus can you make it so that you can keep multipule spells on tab and instantly switch between them using the number keys as it would be very helpful in Multiplayer mode. Also one last thought, can you please make a version for ouya? If you don’t know what it is, it’s a small game concole that is around 3x3x3 inches on all sides that instead of using disks or cartridges, it uses apps as games and actually leans towards letting home developers makeing and publishing there own games! This and codespells would make a very good combo. However i should mention that ouya regulations state that all games MUST at least have a free demo. Try befor you buy. My recamendation is to do the the very first version of alpha code spells BUT make it so you can only play a limited amount PER DAY like perhaps 30 minits or an hour per day so you don’t repell the gamer community tha don’t like to play the games that the demo has a timer that after it’s up you can’t play it again with out losing all your progress. I mean the controller is not a problem it has 15 buttons 2 joysticks and even a touch pad. So pleas take my suggestions in to account and I’ll tell you about any more glitches i find

P.s can you please put up the date and time for your twitch tv thing at least a week in advance?

I have a couple of very anxious kids wondering when the Alpha level product is available for those that contributed at that level. The Kickstarter info just said “December 2014”

I think they said the Alpha was releasing on the 25th of December.

  5. Do you see a potential enhancement in the future for integration with low cost HMDs and VR Gloves? Would appreciate your thoughts in relation to how these enhancements may or may not increase your audience and appeal. (I am one of the people mentioned in the article link below)

    • YES! We have a Oculus Rift dev kit that we want to play around with later on in development. VR gloves would be an awesome next step!
